Put the “pro” back in productive

We’re officially out of resolution season (finally!) so it’s time to stop making promises and start keeping them by becoming more productive.

“But the weather is SO gloomy…”

Whilst the rain is probably still pouring, the days are getting longer. Time to make the most of your time and start getting on top of things!

How can you become more productive?

There are so many tips, time hacks and mind tricks to bamboozle even the most organised business owner! So because we’re Time wise, we’ve cut through the fog to deliver up 3 key practices to see real improvement. Let’s dive in!

Cut the to-do list

We hate to break it to you, but if you think that every paid hour spent sat at your desk will be productive, you are attempting the impossible. Research suggests that in an eight-hour day, the average worker is only productive
for two hours and 53 minutes.

That’s right–you’re probably only productive for around three hours a day*.

So, make that to-do list more reasonable by prioritising your workload and cutting it RIGHT back.

Take a break. Have a KitKat

(Other snacks are available)

If you’re sat at your desk for hours and feel your attention wane, it’s usually a sign that your blood sugar levels are getting low and you need to take a break. Leave the desk, get some fresh air and have something to eat and drink. Prolonged periods of high concentration use up the glucose in our body, so if you want more brain power, it’s time to feed it.

Stop spinning plates!

Instead of trying to complete several tasks at once and leaving things unfinished, focus on one thing at a time. You’ll find it much easier to concentrate and get things ticked off, instead of interrupting yourself and getting further behind. It’s important to remember that this ties in with our first tip – reduce your to-do list. Less to do = more done.

Simple.
