Can Timewise VA help you with admin?

The simple answer is – yes! At Timewise VA, we offer business support in addition to our bookkeeping services. That’s right, we’re the complete package. We recognise that running a business is MORE than just a full time job – and there are never enough hours in the day! Having an extra pair of hands to get through the day-to-day tasks can save your sanity.

So why should a VA make it onto your wish-list this Christmas?

What is a VA?

VA stands for Virtual Assistant. It’s an individual who is not employed directly by the business, but they are contracted for specific services and/or hours each month. They can typically support your business from anywhere in the world, hence use of the word “virtual”. It’s often preferred to contract support from someone within the same time zone as you, but this is not a deal breaker for most individuals.

How can they support your business?

Having a VA is pretty much like having an in person assistant. They can fulfil all of the same tasks, just without the hassle of wondering where on earth you’re going to put their desk!

This could include smaller admin tasks such as appointment setting, email inbox management and arranging travel. However, there are virtual assistants available who specialise in certain areas of business. For example, you may wish to use a VA with particular experience in Microsoft Excel. You might want someone with expertise in graphic design, or perhaps they need to support your finances.

In that instance, we’d hope that Timewise comes to mind!

In truth though, we can offer as much or as little support as you need, and it can change month to month depending on your need.

Is it cheaper to work with a VA?

Again, the simple answer is yes! While the hourly rate can be more expensive than that of an employee, you are paying for their expertise and ability to complete tasks without instruction or distraction. How you wish to use their expertise is entirely up to the agreement made between you and the VA. However, as mentioned before, there are times where you may need more support, and there are times where you can get by with only a handful of hours. It’s a great way of working to a budget and a really scalable way of building your business during certain growth phases.

How have we helped clients in the past?

As you can imagine, being a VA is pretty varied from day-to-day, and from each client. So how can we demonstrate JUST how invaluable we’ve become to some of our clients?

Here are just some examples of how we’ve helped our clients over the years, but this is definitely not an exhaustive list!

For one client, we used to send birthday cards, books and letters to children who were part of the Anamix 6 club.

We sent out documentation before the course, coordinated with teachers, raised invoices in Word, sent information to teachers prior to the course, and chased schools for payment.

We were able to help with recruitment, which meant phoning candidates to screen them before asking them for an interview.

Our support included phoning schools to make sure that the invoices were sent to the correct person. This enabled our clients to receive payments quicker, and manage their cash flow better.

What’s your Timewise challenge?

We love it when clients test our skills and experience. So let us ask you this – if you could have our support for a few hours a month, what weird and wonderful tasks could we take off your hands and away from your plate?
